LUS MARKETING VAN 2026

Laval Underground Surveys has been manufacturing camera vans for decades, so customers usually know what to expect and can anticipate a high-quality product. Nevertheless, sometimes it is helpful to get hands-on experience with the equipment to determine if this is the investment a contractor would like to make. For years, we have built up specific vans for marketing purposes, but each one has been purchased before we could show it off—until now.

For 2026, LUS is introducing our first fully equipped Marketing Van. This van is not just for show, but we can admit—it is pretty. The 2026 Mercedes Sprinter DC5150 Camera system is available for customers to explore at our facility in Fresno, CA.

Outfitted with 4000’ of steel-braided coaxial cable, every inch of the camera van has been intricately thought out for our hardworking patrons. With any great design, the first step is always the brainstorming.

In this step, we asked questions and did our best to gauge what the customer would want in a camera van. How do you take 75+ years of downhole camera experience and make it user friendly in this day and age? This allowed our engineering and production team to come up with a layout that would suit our customers’ needs.

Then the van arrived—the raw van, the bones; a blank canvas. At this point, it had no floor, no walls and no seats. Precise measurements and intricate details were taken prior to beginning the design.

The next step was the designing, planning and engineering phase. As we have been developing and outfitting camera vans for decades, these steps are not new to us, but we are always looking to improve our standards. For this particular camera van, our trained staff developed a layout and installation plan using Solidworks models.

Then, the installation phase arrived—the time for the design to take shape. The van received a robust interior of diamond-stamped vinyl flooring per our van installation standards. The walls and overhead lighting were added. The bulkhead wall was mounted with the solid wood table top to hold the controls and monitors. The 9’ extendable boom arm was mounted in the back, and the 4000’ electric motor Model 40 winch was installed next to the operator’s chair for easy adjustment during surveys.

During this process, precision is important, and not even the smallest details are overlooked.

The testing phase was the final step. Each piece was tested repeatedly; during this stage in any project, nothing leaves our facility without being built to ISO9000 standards and hands on testing.

The result of this hard work is our flagship DC5150 Camera Van that we are excited to share with the industry. Without hesitation, this is truly the best that LUS has to offer. Schedule a showing today at 559-251-1396.
